Product Requirements |
Popup, flyout, banner, and spin-to-win displays, each support tabs. The tabs can be placed and styled in various ways for both desktop and mobile views. The tabs allow the display to be manually triggered by a visitor, which is particularly useful if you are hoping to create a minimally invasive offer or would like to provide visitors the opportunity to open a previously dismissed offer. Still not exactly sure what this guide is talking about? Check out the example below:
Add tabs
To add tabs to a compatible display type:
- Navigate to Convert > All Displays.
- Select the display you'd like to include tabs.
- Navigate to the Create step of the display builder.
- Select the Tab Design setting. This option will only be available if a compatible display type (e.g., Popup) has been selected already.
- In the display designer, determine the tab's style, position, design, and content. These selections are for the desktop tab.
- To add a tab for visitors on mobile devices, select the Edit Desktop Tab header at the top of the pane to return to the elements view and select the Mobile tab element from the sidebar.
- Configure the mobile tab's options and then select Save at the top-right.
The display will now use tabs moving forward or when the display is eventually published.
Remove tabs
To remove tabs from a display:
- Navigate to Convert > All Displays.
- Select the display you'd like to make tabless.
- Navigate to the Create step of the display builder.
- Select the Tab Design setting to open the display designer.
- Disable the desktop and mobile tabs via the sidebar and then Save.
Tab behavior
Tabs act as a complementary means of activation for displays that use When To Show triggers to appear to visitors automatically. However, the tab serves as the only way for a visitor to activate and engage with displays that have all automatic triggers disabled.
